The Creation And Promises Of God

The Creation…

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was barren, with no form of life; it was under a roaring ocean covered with darkness. But the Spirit of God was moving over the water. Genesis 1:1-2

Promises God Keeps His…

God the creator of heaven and earth promises cannot fail. He made everything there is. Therefore, all things belong to him and he directs the world according to his own master plan. Despite the actions of people, he has allowed rebelling against him, his good purposes will surely succeed at last. This is why God can make promises that will forever affect your future. God invites you, me, and everyone to come to him as the Father of all things. Then he will carry out his kind desire to us. Genesis 1:1

Human Nature…

“It’s just human nature!” You have often heard that excuse for someone’s bad behaviour. In other words, “He’s just made that way; he can’t help it.” But here we are told that God created us “to be like himself — very good!” We are going to see, something very wrong because bad behaviour is not “just human nature.” The good news is that God is always ready to do what he did in the beginning. He will create you all over again “to be like himself.” You can see how Jesus explained this to a man in the New Testament. Genesis 1:27-31

You Must Be Born Again…

To be “born from above” was an idea that baffled Nicodemus–and baffles many people today. But it was the simplest way Jesus could explain the basic change that must happen within Nicodemus before he could possess the joy of being a child of God. The nature we are born with cannot truly appreciate God or his ways. So the Holy Spirit performs the real miracle of creating us all over again so that we are attuned to the things of God. Then, as citizens of God’s kingdom, we can love things God loves. John 3:1-8

The Creative Words Are…

John opens his gospel with “In the beginning.” These are also the opening words as we saw in Genesis 1:1. John goes farther by showing that the living Word (Jesus) gave life and light from himself to the work of creation. Jesus is that life and light he gave when you ask him with all your heart. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:1-4

May God The Father, The Son, and Holy Spirit Be With You Always…
