Temptation
James 1:12
Blessed is the man that endures temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
What of Today’s Verse…
Only Christians win at life. That’s because none of us have the power to hold back our greatest enemy, death. But when we have persevered, we are given the ultimate victory, LIFE that will not end.
Let us Pray:
Thank You, O Father, for giving me the assurance that finally, I will share in your life and your victory forever. Help me this day to live confidently, knowing that I have your life. Through Jesus, my conquering King, I pray. Amen.
Words of Wisdom
United Prayer…
In prayer, I join with others in a powerful network of faith.
An aspen grove contains a metaphor for the power of united prayer. A stand of aspens appears to be individual trees, but botanists know that the grove is actually one single organism, connected underground by a network of unseen roots. Each tree supports and strengthens the whole.
In much the same way, I am one individual, yet I am connected with all God’s creation. Jesus encouraged us to pray together, and I know that united prayer is powerful. As I pray with friends, family, Silent Unity, or additional members of my spiritual family, I am comforted and strengthened. I join in united prayer that is deeply rooted in faith.
“The God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ..”-Romans 15:5-6
