Without Lasting Profit

Matthew 24:35

No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.

What of Today’s Verse…

What do you have that will last? Not much — the love you have for God and his children, the praise you offer him, and the Word he has spoken to use through his Spirit, the prophets, and his Son, Jesus. Invest in these things and you will never be without lasting profit!

Let Us Pray:

Eternal God and loving Father, give me wisdom to discern what is truly lasting and invest my life in those things that will never suffer decay. Thank you for sending Jesus to teach me truth that will last. I want to be obedient to his words and his life. Bless me in ways that help me live a life that is true. Through Jesus, my eternal Savoir I pray. Amen.

Words of Wisdom

The love of God is expressing through caregivers in compassionate, tender ways.

Dear God, I pray for caregivers, for they are Your love in action, supporting others along their way to healing and renewal of mind and body. With spiritual vision, they are able to interpret the expressions on faces of infants and adults who have needs but are unable to express them in words.

Caregivers see past what may seem impossible to overcome, to the truth of Your presence within all in their care.
They are loving friends who give a tender touch and offer a strong shoulder to lean on wherever, whenever needed.

They brighten the day, inspiring those they care for with faith and love.

“What are human beings that you are mindful of them, mortals that you care for them? Yet you have made them a little lower than God, and crowned them with glory and honor.” —Psalm 8:4-5
